In Turbo-Chart when importing from MS Project, the fields available to select are
- Number fields for Position Start and Finish (Red box below)
- Text Fields for the various codes (Blue box below)
Turbo-Chart shows you the MS Project field name Number 1, Number 2, Text 9, Text 10 etc, and then shows you what your custom name for that field, as created in your MS Project file, is in brackets
If Start/End Location Fields (Text) are appearing in the Location Code selection, this would suggest that it is a Text field, rather than a number field.
You can check this by :
- On the Project menu
- Click on Custom Fields
- Check the Fields being used, your name is shown first, then the MS Project fieldname in Brackets
- Change the different custom field types, Number, Text, Date etc.
You may need to create two new Number fields for the Location Start and Location End, however MS Project should let you easily copy and paste the entire column from the Text fields into the new Number fields, press SAVE and then you will be able to select those new number fields when importing into Turbo-Chart.
